Lash Lift Tools: Everything You Need For a Korean Lash Lift

Lash Lift Tools: Everything You Need For a Korean Lash Lift

At BELO, we’ve tried every product out there for lash lifts, and refined our lash trays to a fine art. I’m going to break down all the tools that really make a difference when completing a Korean Lash lift (so you don’t have to!)

Prepping for your lash lift: your new fave accessories

Starting of with your prep, the dream on eyepads and nichiban tape are the perfect combo for this, I would also recommend having a sensitive silicone pink tape to hand also for clients who have heavier eyelids, this tape adheres perfectly to the client’s skin but really gentle to remove.

Roll of lash tape essential for secure application of eyelash extensions, ensuring precision and longevity by Belo Lash.

Lash lift shields: variety is key

Next up shields, so with a Korean lash lift you’ll need your flat shields for softening and then your shaping shields, from experience I would highly recommend having a variety of shaping Shields. It’s the same principle as ensuring you have a variety of curls when creating a set of lash extensions, every client’s eye shape and lash lengths are unique and you need to ensure you are catering to this.

For example, your client who loves a bit of drama may lean towards Nova shields for the ascent style L curl lift, but your more natural-look loving client may prefer our Candyfloss shields for a softer curl.

Nova Ascent Shields, £12.99, pack of 3.

If you’re looking for an all-rounder shield type, try our Rainbow shields for a LU curl and Galaxy shields for an LC curl. These have the drama of an ascent shield, but they’re a bit softer, so they’re a good option for clients with shorter lashes that still want a lifted look.

Lash lift glue balm: your secret weapon for seamless lifts

The next must have product for a Korean lash lift is definitely the Worlds Above Glue Balm, this is a non negotiable for any lash lift, not only is it amazing for fixing the lashes up into place it stays flexible and allows so much more time to isolate and get the lashes into the perfect position for step 2. The worlds above glue balm is also suitable to use for traditional Lifts.

To complete your Korean lash lifting kit you’ll also need the following tools:

Micro brushes

These will be used to lift the lashes up onto the shield with your worlds above glue balm and can also be used to apply your solutions- with the fine tip it ensures precision and control. Micro brushes will also be used to apply tint at the end of the treatment.

Microbrushes, £3.49, pack of 50.

Cleanser/remover applicators

Cleanser applicators have a dual use in a Korean lash lift. They can be used to remove solutions and also to cleanse the lashes prior to the treatment. I find the larger surface area on these better for removing solutions thoroughly and promptly.

Pink cleanser and remover applicators

Cleanser / Remover Applicator, £4.49, pack of 50.

Lash lift brushes

Lash lift brushes will be used at step one to check the flexibility when step 1 is processing, this can also be done using a micro brush but the combing effect of the lash lift brush gives more reassurance that step 1 is fully processed and you can take the lashes into any direction – this is a signal that step 1 is ready to be removed.

Lash Lift Brushes, £2.49, pack of 10.

Y combs

No Korean lash lift kit is complete without this tool, a Y-comb used to help fix and isolate the lashes before step 2 is applied, the fine tooth comb ensures 100% precision.

Y-Combs, £3.99, pack of 10.

Stubborn lashes? Try paper compensators.

Sometimes you will come across clients with super stubborn downturned lashes and even after being confident step 1 has processed you may still find the odd lash wanting to pop down from the shield – the paper compensators are super delicate but will keep any of these lashes up in their correct position throughout the lift, they’re really good for holding up the stubborn baby lashes too!
