The technique of a glueless lash lift system can have some differences to traditional lash lift solutions, so below we have listed our top 5 tips for nailing the application technique with these new systems!
Tip 1: Rolling the microbrush to apply step 1
Step 1 is easily applied by using a rolling method with a microbrush to apply the solution to the lashes. Apply a small amount of step 1 on to the microbrush and use a rolling technique with the microbrush between your thumb and forefinger to apply the product to the lashes. This will give you the control you need to lift the lashes onto the flat shield effectively, without causing discomfort for your client.
Tip 2: Using an ultra-low profile flat shield
In step one of a glueless lash lift, make sure to use a good quality, ultra thin, flat, silicone pad to provide a smooth surface to position and straighten natural lashes from root to tip during the softening phase. Tip 3: Choosing the correct sized & shaped shield
Selecting the correct shield size and shape is key to achieving your desired lift. Make sure to take your time with this step as the correct size shield, along with correct placement can be a huge factor on the end result. With the glueless ELEVA lash lift system, you can easily lift the softened lashes onto the shield of choice without the need of any extra glues or glue balms.
Tip 4: Adjust the processing time for step 2
As glueless lash lifts don’t have any adhesive or glue balm between the lashes and the lifting the solution, the processing time is typically much less. Make sure to adjust timings for step 2 accordingly. With ELEVA, you want to process step 2 for half the amount of time of step 1. For example:
- Step 1: 12-14 minutes
- Step 2: 6-7 minutes
Tip 5: Cleanse the lashes post treatment
With a glueless system, we always recommend to cleanse the lashes post-treatment to ensure all the product is removed. This will not affect the lash lift in any way, it will ensure that there isn’t any product left which can lead to lead to overprocessing on the lashes once the client has left.
